Sergio Ramos wants Real Madrid to sign Erling Haaland & Kylian Mbappe this summer

Sergio Ramos admitted he ‘would like to have both’ Kylian Mbappe and Erling Haaland at Real Madrid next season, but conceded the latter was a less ‘complicated’ transfer.

Ramos, 34, would love the young attackers to arrive at the Santiago Bernabeu, in order to add ‘speed’ and ‘hunger’ to his side.

The Spain international is a big admirer of the Paris Saint-Germain and Borussia Dortmund forwards – both of whom are the subject of intense speculation.

Mbappe’s PSG contract expires at the end of next season, meaning the French outfit could be forced to sell if he won’t sign a new deal, while Dortmund are reportedly ready to cash in on Haaland if a large enough offer is submitted.

But Ramos thinks a deal for Haaland, who has scored 10 goals in six Champions League matches this season, would be ‘much easier’ to arrange than the transfer of Mbappe.

‘Haaland or Mbappe if I were a coach? I would like to have both of them, but a coach does not sign,’ he said on Ibai Llanos’ Twitch channel.

‘Perhaps, due to the circumstances and the current situation, today I think it would be a little easier to sign Haaland.

‘Mbappe is talked about as the Cristiano [Ronaldo] and [Lionel] Messi replacement, and the circumstances are more complicated.

‘It would never be bad to reinforce Madrid with a 9 like Haaland, who has something that we do not have: speed, hunger, height…

‘Mbappé has it too, of course, but it would be much easier today to come to terms with Haaland.’

Lionel Messi, whose Barcelona contract expires, is another player who could be on the move this summer and Ramos offered to let him stay at his house in the unlikely event he decided to move to bitter rivals Real Madrid.

‘Of course, 100%,’ Ramos replied when asked if he would welcome Messi to Real Madrid.

‘He could stay at mine for the first week or so. He can find his feet and get comfy, I’d be more than happy to do that.

‘Us Madrid fans have had to endure Leo’s best years (with him at another team) so to not have to face him every week would be great and to have him with us would obviously help us to win and have more success. It would be stupid to say it wouldn’t.’

Ramos, however, is not interested in playing for Barcelona.

He said: ‘Absolutely no chance! I like (new Barca president Joan) Laporta, I’ve met him and I liked him.

‘But it’s the same as not seeing Xavi, (Carles) Puyol or even Messi signing for Madrid; it works the other way too and there’s those of us who would never play for Barca. There’s some things money can’t buy.’
