Dimitar Berbatov previews the weekend Premier League action (Pictures: REX/METRO.CO.UK )

After a packed fortnight of international action, the Premier League is squarely back on the agenda with two blockbuster matches taking precedence.

The Merseryside derby has been a one-sided affair over the course of the last decade but Everton must be fancying their chances of getting one over their old rivals at long last following their tremendous start to the new season.

Eslewhere, Mikel Arteta goes up against his old mentor Pep Guardiola as s rapidly improving Arsenal take on Manchester City, while there is an entertaining London derby between Spurs and West Ham to look forward to on Sunday.

As ever, Betfair ambassador Dimitar Berbatov previews the action for…

Everton vs Liverpool

Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been in tremendous form this season for Everton (Picture: Getty)

It’s the biggest derby for years, I can’t wait for this game. Everton will be thinking of Leicester from a few years ago. The team, as I have said, are in love with Ancelotti, he has transformed them. Liverpool have their problems, and Everton will have seen the Villa game. Ancelotti will know how to exploit those weakness now, and I think Everton can surprise Liverpool on Saturday. Prediction: 2-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Everton- 3/1, Liverpool- 10/11, Draw- 10/3

Chelsea v Southampton

Hakim Ziyech could be set to make his Chelsea debut (Picture: Getty)

I still haven’t seen Havertz play a really brilliant game, I want to see him with more confidence for Chelsea. They aren’t consistent as a team right now. Werner needs to do more too. They should beat Southampton, but they need to start putting results together and being consistent. Prediction: 2-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Chelsea- 8/15, So’ton- 11/2, Draw- 4/1 (19%)

Man City v Arsenal

Thomas Partey could make his debut on Saturday for Arsenal against Man City (Picture: Getty)

Excellent game here, much like Everton and Liverpool. Arteta is doing a good job at Arsenal, Pep has problems at City too in my opinion. I think there could be a surprise result here too, and Arsenal could topple City. City have looked vulnerable more than once this season, and Arsenal can take advantage. Prediction: 0-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: City- 1/2, Arsenal- 6/1, Draw- 4/1

Newcastle v Man United

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer will be hoping Man Utd can bounce back from their defeat against Spurs (Picture: Getty)

Huge game for United here, they really need to bounce back from the Spurs defeat here. Newcastle have been playing ok, and Callum Wilson is a great addition. It will be a tough game for United, I am biased because they are my old team, and I want them to win, for the team, and for Ole. If they are not concentrated here, they could be disappointed. I will go for them to bounce back though. Prediction: 0-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Newcastle- 4/1, Man Utd- 8/11, Draw- 10/3

Sheffield United v Fulham

Nice easy game to choose here! Neither team have won a game here, a huge contrast to last year for Sheffield who were so good. Fulham need to correct something straight away or they are going down. I hope they can surprise Sheffield, because they badly need a win. Prediction: 0-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Sheffield Utd- 6/5, Fulham- 3/1, Draw- 5/2

Crystal Palace vs Brighton

Brighton are playing very well, but not getting results. They’ve only won one game, but have come close and put in some great performances. Palace won last time out, and Zaha is a huge threat up front. If they can be more careful at the back, and not concede stupid goals, they can win this. Prediction: 2-1

Betfair Exchange Odds: Palace- 7/4, Brighton- 15/8, Draw- 5/2

Spurs v West Ham

Gareth Bale is ready to make his second Spurs debut (Picture: Getty)

London derby here, and expectations are high for Spurs here. They will be on a high after beating United so easily, and Mourinho will be on a roll now. Southgate clearly listened to Jose by not risking Kane for England! I think they should beat West Ham here, a repeat performance of the United game would see them win easily. It would be great to see Bale if he was ready, but in any case Spurs should be too strong. Prediction: 3-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Spurs- 4/6, West Ham- 5/1, Draw- 10/3

Leicester v Aston Villa

It’s great to see the table at the moment dominated by teams like Everton, Leicester, Villa. The league is a marathon, not a sprint, and these teams need to keep the pace up, but if they can get some consistency, they can challenge later in the season. This is a weird game, because both teams are probably higher than they should be. I think Villa have a chance of causing an upset here. Prediction: 1-2

Betfair Exchange Odds: Leicester- 20/21, Villa- 10/3, Draw- 3/1

West Brom vs Burnley

This is a tough game, neither team playing well, and need points quickly. The Premier League is a different beast for West Brom, and Burnley have just never gotten going this season. A draw is likely here. Prediction: 0-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: West Brom- 8/5, Burnley- 2/1, Draw- 5/2

Leeds v Wolves

Leeds are another team playing well, but have some wins to show for it, I like how they play football. Wolves haven’t kicked on from last season as yet, they have room to improve, but I will go for Leeds here to continue their progress. Prediction: 2-0

Betfair Exchange Odds: Leeds- 8/5, Wolves- 2/1, Draw- 5/2
