The Chief Executive Officer of Bechem United, Professor Nana Kwasi Darlyn, took advantage of the president’s visit to Bechem on his tour of the Ahafo Region to push for a sports stadium at Bechem.

He pleaded with the government to consider siting one of the stadia at Bechem for the people of Ahafo since it is the only town with a Ghana Premier League team in the region and beyond.

Prof Nana Kwasi Darlyn said this will help with the development of talents in the various sports disciplines and not just soccer.

Upon meeting the Minister of Education, Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, Prof Darlyn seized the opportunity to express his admiration for the great reforms he is introducing at the educational front and wished the ban on sporting activities will be lifted soon so they can resume training and subsequently the League.

Dr. Opoku Prempeh urged him and his colleague sports administrators to continue to engage with the sports minister on all issues of concern since this government is committed to the development of sports.

The CEO of Bechem United and the Hon. Minister of Education met at the inspection of the newly built educational office complex at Bechem.
